With more than 1,600 academic employees, including around 280 professors, and more than 1,000 non-academic employees, the University of Bayreuth is one of the largest employers in the region.

At the University of Bayreuth, we strive to deal responsibly with conflict in the workplace – with mutual respect for all parties involved. In cases of bullying, discrimination, or sexual harassment, our employees have access to external conflict counselling. Details can be found on our intranet.

Founded in 1975, the University of Bayreuth is today one of the most successful young uni-versities in Germany. Our main characteristic is interdisciplinary research, teaching, and studying. With a good 12,000 students and 186 degree programmes spread over seven faculties, we focus on "quality over quantity".
