Events calendar: public events on and around the campus

Not sure what you're up to tonight, or what's on over the next few days and the weekend? No problem. On our campus and throughout Bayreuth, there are plenty of active people, interest groups, and event organisers who will make sure you never get bored  – whether you are on site in person or following an online event from home.

For example, our film enthusiasts regularly organize interesting on-campus film screenings. There are a range of public talks to attend, community action days, and interesting conferences. The Glashaus, the Botanical Garden, and the University Library are just a few examples of places on campus where our students enjoy spending their free time. And if the University Big Band and Gospel Chorus are not performing, chances are they’re practicing for their next gig. We could go on and on…

Bayreuth City Talks
On the first Wednesday of each month, from 6 p.m. to approx. 7:30 p.m., you can attend a lecture on current topics with changing speakers. The lectures in the Iwalewahaus are open to anyone interested. No registration is required and admission is free.

International Lounge
The lectures, which are open to the public and free of charge, are held by international researchers in English. The speakers come from various disciplines and reflect Bayreuth's research priorities.
