Networking- & Conceptspace: Open Innovation Lab – OIL
We bring together stakeholders from business, science, and society at the Open Innovation Lab (OIL) within the Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the University of Bayreuth. The OIL is freely accessible to the regional innovation ecosystem, fostering an open innovation culture in the Upper Franconia region. Together, we are driving forward the innovations of the future.
The OIL is where ideas become innovations. It is THE meeting place for regional future makers.

The equipment in the Open Innovation Lab for innovation formats:
Mobile work labs:
- Suitable for up to five teams
- Mobile shelving with integrated screens
- Mobile pinboards and whiteboards as work surfaces and partitions
- Height-adjustable desks
- Numerous co-creation materials
Pitch-Area withSpeakers'-Corner:
- Mobile grandstands
- Flexible podium
- Modern presentation technology (projector, screen, micro and sound system, event spotlights, etc.)
Thanks to the mobile equipment, the room can be divided up flexibly and thus enables different settings for tailored use for small formats (from 10 people) and large formats (up to approx. 80 people).
We are happy to help you plan the equipment for your format.
