Materials Science & Engineering, Master of Science (M.Sc.)

In the 21st century, new materials are an essential prerequisite for technical progress and economic growth. New findings from materials science are driving the development of innovative products and processes in all sectors. The Master's programme "Materials Science & Engineering" prepares students specifically for these challenges by integrating materials science and process engineering into its engineering degree programme. In addition, you can deepen your knowledge of materials in three main areas, which you can freely choose from the following five areas: Lightweight construction materials, materials for energy technology, high-temperature materials, metals, and polymers.

This degree programme is taught in German.

Good knowledge of German is an essential prerequisite to successfully completing the degree programme. Proof of German language proficiency at B2 level or equivalent is required for admission. For detailed information, please see the German version of the study programme site.
