Language – Interaction – Culture, Master of Arts (M.A.)

The master's programme "Language – Interaction – Culture" is based on a training concept that spans individual philologies and combines linguistic skills from the following subjects in a research-oriented curriculum: African Studies, English Studies, Arabic Studies, Romance Studies, German Studies, Intercultural German Studies and Didactics of German Language and Literature. The focus is on empirically oriented language research and the associated research into intercultural contexts.

The master's programme Language – Interaction – Culture is a multi-faceted programme in which students can choose courses according to their own interests. Whether English, Arabic, German, or French courses – it is up to the students themselves to choose the language. The degree programme is a great opportunity to further your education in the subject area of linguistics and cultural studies.

Good knowledge of German is an essential prerequisite to successfully completing the degree programme. Proof of German language proficiency at DSH-2 level or equivalent is required for admission. For detailed information, please see the German version of the study programme site.
