English and American Studies, Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

This innovative course of studies provides students with the basic specialist knowledge to navigate the Anglophone cultural area, taking interdisciplinary and intercultural issues into account, enabling them to successfully participate in the ever more intensive economic and cultural relations between nations.

When choosing courses, you can decide for yourself in which direction you want to go. You can choose between British and American studies, between linguistics and literature, and various thematic content, since there are always several options to choose from in the main courses. I enjoyed the language courses the most, thanks to which I understood poorly explained content from school in hindsight.

This degree programme is taught in German and English.

Good knowledge of English and German is an essential prerequisite to successfully completing the degree programme. Proof of German language proficiency at B2 level or equivalent is required for admission. For detailed information, please see the German version of the study programme site.
