The Research Center for Artificial Intelligence in Science and Society (RAIS²) at the University of Bayreuth will host the UBT AI Day 2026 on September 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the university campus in Building RW I. The event will feature expert presentations, interactive exhibitions, workshops, a panel discussion, and a poster session showcasing current research projects in the field of artificial intelligence.
Highlights of the program include a scientific keynote by Prof. Niklas Kühl, Professor of Business Information Systems and Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence at the University of Bayreuth, and an industry keynote by Dr. Lisa Precht (IBM). Kühl will address the topic “Are We Becoming Meat Proxies?”, while Precht will present “What if staying in control was your biggest AI advantage?”
In addition to the impulse talk “Demystifying AI” by Valentin Mayer (AI Responsibility Center, University of Bayreuth), poster pitches, and networking opportunities, the event will focus on practical insights into current AI applications. In the workshop “What Is Your AI Advantage? From Industrial Know-How to a Real Use Case,” Martin Braun of NeuroForge GmbH & Co. KG will demonstrate how companies can transform their existing expertise into concrete AI applications. Prof. Dr. Agnes Koschmider will explore the opportunities and prospects of close collaboration between academia and industry in her presentation “Industry-Science Tandem: The AI Assistants of the Future.”
