Research Assistant (m/f/d)
with the opportunity to pursue a doctorate (PhD) on a part-time basis within a fixed-term employment contract is available as soon as possible.
Your Profile:
- Completed Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field; knowledge in polymer chemistry is desirable
- Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
- Open-minded, dynamic personality with enthusiasm for top-level interdisciplinary research in an international team
- Independent and well-organized working style
- Commitment, high flexibility, and team spirit
Your Tasks:
- Work on your doctoral dissertation in an interdisciplinary topic at the interface of polymer chemistry and nanomedicine, with a focus on polymer synthesis and characterization
The advertised project aims to develop novel amino acid-based polycations and investigate their properties in biological environments. The use of biomimetic structures is expected to lead to increased therapeutic efficiency while maintaining high biocompatibility. To achieve this goal, expertise in synthesis, analytics, polymer chemistry, and biology will be combined.
Our research group works in an interdisciplinary manner on the development of novel functional polymers from sustainable resources, with an interest in potential applications in the biomedical field.
