About the Project & Group The Kuenneth Group (Computational Materials Sciences) is seeking a Graduate Researcher / PhD Candidate (m/f/d) to join the ERC Starting Grant project on generative polymer informatics (genPI).

Your Responsibilities 

  • Creating strategies for the exploration of polymer space
  • Developing and integrating Large Language Models specifically for polymer science
  • Handling data extraction, curation, and organization to support machine learning models
  • Conducting independent research in a dynamic and innovative environment


Your Profile

  • An above-average master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, or related fields
  • Strong programming proficiency in Python is required
  • Knowledge in polymer science
  • You possess curiosity towards materials and data science, along with creativity and independence
  • Motivation and proactivity, with strong communication skills in English or German
