The Faculty of Life Sciences: Food, Nutrition, and Health (Campus Kulmbach) is seeking to fill the following position as soon as possible:
Research assistant (m/f/d) with the opportunity to pursue a doctorate (TV-L E13/50%)
The position is limited in accordance with the German Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz) and serves the purpose of obtaining a scientific qualification (usually a doctorate). The duration of the employment relationship depends on legal and personal requirements (expected to be 3 years).
Your tasks:
- Independent implementation of an interdisciplinary research project involving at least two of the disciplines taught at the faculty.
- Teaching (interdisciplinary) courses in B.Sc. and/or M.Sc. programs in German and/or English.
Requirements:
- A university degree relevant to the field of your intended doctoral studies (master's degree, e.g., in biology, chemistry, ecotrophology, nutritional sciences, business administration, or law)
- A willingness to think interdisciplinarily and consider scientific problems across disciplines
- The ability to work independently in a scientific context
- Enthusiasm for contributing to an interdisciplinary team
- Desire to pass on your knowledge to students in courses
