"Contingency, Power, and Data Gaps": University of Bayreuth Hosts Conference on Gender, Queerness, Intersectionality, and Diversity

The conference highlights how chance, uncertainty and power relations shape our society – and how we can question existing structures through new perspectives and critical research. Participants can look forward to exciting lectures, artistic contributions and interactive discussions on topics such as intersectionality and social inequality, visual and media representations, space and resistance, gender change and digital data gaps. The event will take place at the Open Innovation Lab (OIL), Zapf-Haus 1, ground floor, Nürnberger Str. 38 in 95448 Bayreuth.

On the first evening, 10 December, the GO Research Award will be presented – a prize for outstanding master's theses that deal with gender relations or conduct a gender relevance assessment.
