Every year, the Week of the Environment in the park of Bellevue Palace offers the opportunity to find out about the latest findings and developments on environmental and sustainability issues. In addition to a specialist program and discussion rounds with high-ranking personalities from politics, society, business and science, around 190 exhibitors present forward-looking solutions to current environmental issues at the two-day innovation show.
On June 4 and 5, eight scientists from the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1357 Microplastics at the University of Bayreuth will present current findings from their field of research and discuss the challenges and solutions in the fight against microplastic pollution. The scientists will bring along the new CRC Microplastics Info Screen: a 49-inch touchscreen on a barrier-free lifting desk, which makes it possible to experience the topic and research on microplastics in an elaborate 3D program. This interactive “expert” will be available at various locations on the University of Bayreuth campus after the Week of the Environment.
“It is a great pleasure for us to be able to present the Collaborative Research Center Microplastics to a broad and interested audience at the Week of the Environment. The topic is already highly relevant to society and will become even more important in the future. With our information screen, we will also be able to provide different target groups with clear information on the topic of microplastics in the future,” says Prof. Dr. Christian Laforsch, spokesperson for the CRC 1357 Microplastics.
