On Friday 10 May 2024, the VDE Future Forum will begin at 12:30 with a welcome address by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stephan Tremmel, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Bayreuth, Prof. Dr. Susanne Tittlbach, Vice President for Digitalization, Innovation and Sustainability at the University of Bayreuth, Dr. Andreas Zippel, 2nd Mayor of the City of Bayreuth, and Dr. Martin Hieber, Chief Technology and Networks Officer, CTO VDE Group.
At 13:00, Dr. Fabian Mehring, MdL, Bavarian State Minister for Digital Affairs, will give the keynote speech: "How digital does Bavaria think? Artificial intelligence as a challenge and an opportunity."
This will be followed by keynote speeches and panel discussions on "Artificial intelligence in the energy transition: Key to success or a security risk?" (15:00) and "Artificial intelligence in the working world of the future: New work and digitalization as an opportunity and challenge for SMEs and industry" (17:00).
On Saturday, May 11, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bayreuth will present itself at the VDE Future Forum from 9:00 am.
