University Information Day on 16 February 2023

Those who want to study in Bayreuth - at one of the most popular universities in Germany - will have the opportunity to get comprehensive information on 16 February 2023:  At the University Information Day, prospective students can learn everything about Bayreuth's famous interdisciplinary and classical degree programmes. For a whole day, the University of Bayreuth will be hosting trial lectures, talks and practical events on campus. Registration is not necessary. 

Prospective students will then have the opportunity to immerse themselves in everyday life on campus and gain exciting insights into the content and requirements of individual degree programmes in numerous lectures and sample lectures as well as in conversations with students. In the process, they can discover what students value so much about the University of Bayreuth: excellent study conditions, short distances and cooperation across disciplines. Prospective students and their parents as well as teachers are cordially invited! The event is open to the public, admission is free, and registration is not required. In addition to the University Information Day, the colleagues from the Central Student Advisory Service will be happy to talk to you personally about choosing a course of study and studying at the University of Bayreuth.

Laboratory practicals in chemistry 

Laboratory workshops in small groups on 16.2. give students the opportunity to get to know chemistry up close and personal and to conduct their own experiments. These workshops will take place from 12.15 to 14.00 hrs. For insurance reasons, prior registration is required for these workshops. All other chemistry events are open to the public without registration. All other chemistry events are accessible without registration.  

Study alarm clock

If you come to the HIT, you can subscribe to a very special service of the University of Bayreuth: the "Studienwecker", the timetable for your way into your studies. It reminds you of important dates and deadlines for choosing a degree programme, applying, enrolling and starting your studies. In addition to this "reminder function", the "Studienwecker" also points to informative pages on the respective subject areas and counselling services as well as contact persons. Prospective students are closely accompanied in the process from choosing a degree programme to obtaining a place and starting their studies. The motto: Clarity through education! #ordoetclaritas

Teachers are cordially invited to coffee: Building RW I, seminar room S 61 (near the foyer). There is a special offer here: We make it possible for teachers to take away input for their own teaching. Contact persons for the following topics are waiting for you in the teachers' café:
