“As an alumna of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, it is a proud moment for me to now contribute as a scout to strengthening Germany's and, above all, Bayreuth's position as an attractive and robust research location for international scientists and to promote global cooperation,” says Agarwal. Through this program, she wants to improve international cooperation and “enrich our research community with a variety of perspectives”. Her particular focus is on attracting talented female scientists in order to increase the proportion of women in the research programs and strengthen diversity and integration in Bayreuth.
Over the next three years, the researcher will nominate three fellows for the University of Bayreuth. These fellows will contribute to cutting-edge research in polymer chemistry and further strengthen the University's position as a leader in innovation and excellence in polymer science. For their part, the scholarship holders themselves benefit from the expertise, networking, resources and facilities of the UBT.
“I look forward to welcoming new talent to Bayreuth. This program is a wonderful opportunity to drive internationalization and build lasting partnerships with researchers from around the world,” says Agarwal.
