Cluster „Africa Multiple“
Im Exzellenzcluster „Africa Multiple“ will die Universität Bayreuth ihr Profilfeld Afrikastudien in enger Kooperation mit Partnerinstitutionen in Afrika neu ausrichten. Dabei sollen die kontinentalen und transkontinentalen Verflechtungen kultureller, sprachlicher, sozialer, religiöser, politischer, ökonomischer und ökologischer Prozesse sichtbar werden. Auf diese Weise wollen die Forschungsarbeiten im Cluster die Voraussetzungen für ein genaueres Verständnis dieser Prozesse schaffen.
In Fortführung des Credos der Bayreuther Afrikastudien, „Forschung über Afrika nur mit Afrika“, wird der Cluster innovative Formen der interkontinentalen Wissenschaftskooperation auf den Weg bringen. Mit einer neuen digitalen Forschungsumgebung wird die enge Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Disziplinen, ein Markenzeichen der Bayreuther Afrikaforschung, weiter ausgebaut. ...mehr
