Anniversary party at the Turbine: Kulmbach knows how to celebrate too

The dance floor was already filling up by 8 p.m., with students and guests creating an exuberant atmosphere for an energetic start to the night.

What made this event so special? The exceptionally open interaction between students, professors, university staff, and guests from the region. The atmosphere was characterised by shared moments of celebration, exuberant dancing, and lively conversation. It was precisely this connection between the campus and the city that demonstrated the potential of future formats for encounters.

The right sound was provided by Prof. Dr. Tina Bartelmeß, Prof. Dr. Gerald Lackner, Prof. Kai Purnhagen, Prof. Dr. Janin Henkel-Oberländer, Prof. Dr. Corina Vlot-Schuster from the Kulmbach campus, University President Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Stefan Leible (DJ President) and Dr. Michael Pfitzner and Dr. Michael Hohl from the University Association of Bayreuth. They were supported by DJ Udo H., who provided technical support and took over the decks for the last few hours. The green-accented lighting design of the location created impressive highlights and a modern, dynamic backdrop for the evening.

Many guests expressed their desire for a repeat event while still at the venue – and after this successful start, it seems likely that Kulmbach will continue to be a meeting place for university staff and the local population in the future.

The University Association would like to express its sincere thanks to everyone who made this special anniversary party possible. Thanks to their generous support, admission and drink prices were deliberately kept low, creating an open and accessible event.
