Études Francophones: Afriques Multiples, Master of Arts (M.A.)

The University of Bayreuth offers the Master of Romance Studies Études Francophones: Africques Multiples, the concept of which is unique in Germany. This Master's programme focuses on French as a language and as a medium of cultures and literatures in Francophone countries in Africa (West and Central Africa, Maghreb, Indian Ocean) and America (USA, Canada and Caribbean). Students choose either linguistics or literary studies and specialise in digital language/literature studies or practical specialisations.

I am absolutely satisfied with my choice to study Romance Studies (Etudes Francophones) in Bayreuth! You get great support here, the lecturers are always available and actively support you. Highly recommendable. You also have many opportunities to go abroad. Since the focus is on Africa and Canada, there is a good network for study visits there. I recommend it to anyone who finds French in the world exciting and wishes to study it from a linguistic and literary perspective.
