Research Associate (m/f/d) with the possibility of a doctoral degree

Chair Biomaterials, Working Group Hybrid Materials

The position is initially limited for a period of three years and serves to promote a scientific qualification (PhD). The remuneration is based on salary group 13 TV-L.

You will work on an international project within the framework of the EU funding Interreg Bavaria-Czech Republic. The interdisciplinary project is inspired by the natural antimicrobial mechanisms of insects and focuses on the transfer of the principles to polymeric materials in collaboration with SMEs. The biotechnologically produced defense proteins will be used to develop innovative approaches for biologically active surface modifications.

Your profile:

  • Completed studies (master or diploma) in the field of biotechnology, biology, chemistry or a related field with an excellent degree
  • Profound knowledge in biochemical methods
  • Knowledge in surface processing is an advantage
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Ability to work in a team, communication skills and the ability to work independently
