Interdisciplinary African Studies, Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

Interdisciplinary African Studies with a social science focus examines political, cultural, religious, social, and historical relationships, interconnections and dynamics both within and with Africa. In doing so, existing regional studies (area studies) research results are critically reflected upon, on the basis of the study of African perspectives. In a globally interconnected world, the task of African Studies in the social sciences is to understand global interactions in their complexity and their respective contextuality.

This degree programme is taught in German.
