Fit for the digital transformation: University of Bayreuth and Hof University of Applied Sciences launch joint digitization college

In the Digitization College "Digital Methods", the chairs of Polymer Engineering and Business & Information Systems Engineering at the University of Bayreuth work closely with the Institute for Information Systems (iisys) at Hof University of Applied Sciences. Interdisciplinary courses of the new college, which also involve associated partners from other faculties and institutes, are aimed at bachelor's and master's students from all disciplines. They familiarize students with fundamental aspects of digitization and its interactions with society. Interdisciplinary teams develop innovative approaches to current issues from the natural, economic and social sciences. The course programme is currently being developed, and the first courses are expected to be offered from November 2022.

Coaches with many years of experience in science and business impart practical, state-of-the-art methodological knowledge that students can apply and further develop independently in their respective subjects," says Prof. Dr.-Ing.
