Research Associate (m/f/d) in the Development of Hybrid Materials for Application in Solid-State Batteries
(salary level TV-L E 13 50 %, fixed-term employment) to commence as soon as possible.
Tasks:
- Evaluate and establish processing protocols of hybrid materials (e.g. solid-liquid electrolytes and inorganic-organic electrolytes).
- Quantify the effect of such hybrid materials when employed as components of composite electrodes for solid-state batteries, including but not limited to: partial transport quantification and cycling performance using a variety of galvanostatic and potentiostatic methods
- Assess the viability of such hybrid materials against metallic negative electrodes (e.g. Li and Na)
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related discipline
- Some experience with collecting and analyzing electrochemical data is needed.
- Experience with the synthesis and handling of materials and battery assembly in inert atmospheres is beneficial
- Knowledge of frequency-domain methods (e.g. AC voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy) is a great plus.
- Very good knowledge of English language, both spoken and written
- Willingness to participate in teaching and supervising lab work of undergraduates
- Strong cooperation and communication skills
- Structured and independent working ethic
