The unit’s responsibilities include the following:

StaffingHide
  • Units/ assignments/ conversions/ suspensions/exchange/ changes to positions = control of positions
  • Administering personnel funds
  • Providing information on position funding (budget) to Unit III
  • Quality management for funding and positions
Personnel budget and organizational managementHide
  • Preparing and overseeing the personnel budget
  • Provisions for controlling the establishment of new positions, dividends
  • Setting up new personnel cost centres or personnel funding centres
  • Budget execution in VIVA
Resource allocationHide
  • Innovation funds, expansion plan, TG 73 personnel funds
  • Personnel planning, position planning, finance planning (budget)
Key figuresHide
  • Central contact person for key figures of the University of Bayreuth (finances, personnel, positions, degree programmes, students, graduates, doctorates, etc.)
  • Coordination and response to internal and external enquiries (in particular parliamentary and ministerial enquiries) and official reporting duties
  • Preparation of key figures (in particular for the University Governing Board)
ReportingHide
  • Overall project management of CEUS-Lokal implementation (data warehouse)
  • Coordination of sub-projects (personnel, finances, students and graduates)
  • Creation and adaptation of the role concept
  • Support of the user administration
  • Compiling and maintaining reports

RankingsHide
  • Supervision and coordination of national and international university rankings (CHE, THE, QS, Shanghai, U-Multirank, GreenMetric, etc.)
  • Central contact for ranking organizations
  • Analysis of the various evaluation methods
  • Preparation and furnishing of accurate data
  • Participation in coordinator meetings, information events, etc.
Official statisticsHide
  • Central contact for the StMBW for questions concerning official statistics
  • Statistical Officer in the context of the amendment of the HStatG (coordination of implementation)
  • Preparation of university personnel statistics
  • Comparison of the voting figures (university personnel statistics, student statistics, etc.)
