Postdoctoral Researcher

The full-time position starts in September 2016 or later and is initially limited until December 2018.  Applications for shorter periods and from senior scientists will also be considered. The postdoctoral researcher will participate in a project on mass spectrometry imaging of drug compounds in animal model tissue as part of the German Center for Infection Research (www.dzif.de). This work includes development of sample preparation, optimization of data acquisition parameters and data analysis strategies. Data processing will be based on the common data format imzML (www.imzml.org) and corresponding software tools. The ideal candidate holds an excellent doctoral degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or a related discipline. Training and prior research experience in mass spectrometry imaging are required. Enthusiasm for experimental research, ability to work in a team and good English skills are expected.

Salaries will be in accordance with payscale of “Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst der Länder (TV-L)” level E13.
